Jon Wahl

Expertise

Dr. Jon H. Wahl is a Senior Research Scientist in the Chemical and Biological Sciences Group within the National Security Directorate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Dr. Wahl's principal research interests at PNNL focus on interdisciplinary chemical and bioanalytical problems that require advanced high-resolution separation techniques for compound isolation, identification, and quantification from complex mixtures. Multidimensional separations stages have been emphasized for ultratrace analysis methods for real-world chemical warfare agent (and pre/post and degradation product) analysis, biological, explosives, and other signature compounds of interest to National Security. Dr. Wahl has extensive experience in several national security related program areas at PNNL including detailed knowledge of the needs and interests of selected US Government agencies. Dr. Wahl is the author or co-author of over 20 peer-reviewed publications, numerous conference presentations, book chapters, and U. S. patents.
