Don Simone Daly

Expertise

With his extensive undergraduate training in chemistry, physics, and electrical and mechanical engineering, Dr. Daly has applied statistical thinking in a wide variety of scientific and engineering domains including materials science, molecular biology, non-destructive evaluation and remote sensing. His research has focused on instrument modeling and the role of statistics in the execution of the scientific method. His recent pursuits involve statistical modeling of novel biological instruments and measuring systems, statisical methodologies for very large, heterogeneous data sets, and statistical algorithms for image/spectral analysis.
