The Department of Energy's Joint Genome Institute will sequence approximately 5 megabases (Mb) of Columbia River periphyton complex communities (microbiota) as a part of the Laboratory Sequencing Program. John Magnuson is the principal investigator on project, which is part of the Predicting Ecosystem Change and Damage Focus Area.
